20:15 He said: “Pay attention, all you people of Judah, ¹  residents of Jerusalem, and King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Don’t be afraid and don’t panic ²  because of this huge army! For the battle is not yours, but God’s.

24:24 Even though the invading Syrian army was relatively weak, the Lord handed over to them Judah’s very large army, ³  for the people of Judah ⁴  had abandoned the Lord God of their ancestors. The Syrians ⁵  gave Joash what he deserved. ⁶

28:5 The Lord his God handed him over to the king of Syria. The Syrians ⁷  defeated him and deported many captives to Damascus. ⁸  He was also handed over to the king of Israel, who thoroughly defeated him. ⁹

Hezekiah Observes the Passover

30:1 Hezekiah sent messages throughout Israel and Judah; he even wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, summoning them to come to the Lord’s temple in Jerusalem ¹⁰  and observe a Passover celebration for the Lord God of Israel.

2 Tawarikh 30:22

30:22 Hezekiah expressed his appreciation to all the Levites, ¹¹  who demonstrated great skill in serving the Lord. ¹²  They feasted for the seven days of the festival, ¹³  and were making peace offerings and giving thanks to the Lord God of their ancestors.

[20:15]  ¹ tn Heb “all Judah.” The words “you people of” are supplied in the translation for clarity. The Hebrew text uses the name “Judah” by metonymy for the people of Judah. Unlike the previous instance in v. 13 where infants, wives, and children are mentioned separately, this reference appears to include them all.
